Urgent care & then 2 trips to COSI

On Monday night I decided to take Austin to the Urgent care because he had been complaining for several days that his right ear hurt if touched, bumped,or breathed on. When I looked in his ear that night, the outer canal was swollen shut. Ooooo! So, off we went. Turns out he has an outer ear infection (swimmers ear) and has to have drops for the next 7 days. They had to irrigate his ears just to see in, which was a nightmare! he screamed bloody murder the entire time, mostly due to the fact that the 2 nurses were pulling at his tender ear. Poor baby. he was very much looking forward to medicine until he learned it was going IN his ear. That has been another issue for the past 4-5 days! Altho it appears he doesn't have much pain in the ear anymore, the swelling hasn't gone down. So, when drops are finished, we may be going to his doctor.

I confirmed today that my dentist of over 25 years died at the age of 61 a week ago. Very little info. in the obit. so it took some time to determine if it was her. I am very sad :( She was just getting to know my kids.

Karen and her husband were gracious enough to buy my family a year pass to COSI, so me and the boys went w/her and her kids on Tuesday. My kids had a blast, mostly in the kids play area. However, the frog exhibit was very popular also. So, the next day it was raining, so Matt agreed to go w/me and the boys. Again, the kids had a great time.

A couple of cute pics...

This is a pic I took this past Weds. night after church. Austin just couldn't quite wait to get into bed. Hilarious! Matt suggested leaving him there until he woke up himself...I think not!

This is a pic I took on our 2nd trip to the zoo this year (we've been 3x so far). Altho not very exciting, it was what happened minutes before that was.....The small ape right behind Austin had come up to the window when Austin was sitting there facing the apes, and the 2 of them put their lips to the glass and kissed! Very cute!!!

The kids have figured out how to turn on & off the clock radio in the bedroom. They also know how to change the station and turn the volume up & down AND change the time...yeah! Anyway, almost everyday they turn it on and dance to whatever music is on at that time. I don't even know what is playing, but Justin was too funny not to video.

new baby on the move

I am pretty sure I was able to feel the new baby move from the outside of my belly Sat. night while in bed. The next day in church I could see my belly/shirt moving ever so slightly.

Justin is a walking madman. He looks partly like a monkey (hands up in the air) and partly like a beauty contestant (quite the swagger!).

Hope to take kids to the zoo tomorrow. Its suppose to be over 60 and sunny, and they LOVE it!

New Teeth

I can't remember if I mentioned that Justin had tooth #11 come through in late January, an upper right molar 1 tooth away from the canine. Early this month he had #12 come through, a lower left molar 1 tooth away from the canine. So, currently he has all front 8 teeth, 4 upper & 4 lower, and 4 molars all 1 tooth away from where the canine's will be. I know I know, the excitement is just TOO much! :)

Well 'Boy's' visit.....

Both boys had a well check up today, Justin, at 15 months and Austin at 34 months. Justin was almost 24# and 32" while Austin was 33# and 38". Last well-check was last May, and Justin was 17# and 26" and Austin was 29.5# and 35.5". Don't know where they are in percentiles, Doc didn't say. Embarrassing to say Justin isn't really walking or talking yet (not the way they asked it anyway), where Austin was saying 2 word sentences at 1 and walked at 13 months. Was HAPPY to say Austin is potty-trained. Poor Austin had shots in both thighs, now he is on his death bed. Not really, but I am hardly exaggerating his whining, crying, unable to walk or sit up or lay down, etc. etc. Matt vividly remembers those thigh shots, I do not.
